Sonny Acres

Captain's Blog: Stardate 74652.5

October 10th, 2008

Today we went to Sonny Acres pumpkin farm. This is my second trip here, though I don't remember my first too well since I was only three months old. At first Mommy and Daddy just let me wander around and let me lead, which I LOVED. I hate being told which way to go.

Then we went into the Halloween decor shop, the costume barn, all sorts of fun things. My favorite by far was feeding the goats and sheep. The petting zoo was closed, but the animals were in a pen that I could stick my hand into and pet them. They weren't too interested in me since I didn't have any food, but Mommy put a quarter into a machine and got some food. They went crazy for it. I tried to hold some, but I couldn't quite hold my hand open flat enough. The video of it is huge, or Mommy would have posted it.

After that we went to the kiddie part and there were slides and a tractor, a corn maze, a tire swing. It was a lot of fun. You can see Mommy trip over a haystack while filming me. Its pretty funny!

One of the last things we did was a pony ride! My pony's name was Buttons. Buttons didn't seem to mind me riding him, but I didn't care for it. I don't like to sit still, so I went around twice before demanding to be let off. Poor Buttons, its not your fault.

The Playground

Captain's Blog: Supplemental

Here we are at the playground in the middle of Phillips Park. This was before the zoo, actually. I was having a lot of fun going up and down the slide, but the park was very crowded. There were rude and mean kids on the equipment with me and they kept pushing me. At the end of the video you can hear mommy getting mad! You don't want to know what happened after that. Let's just say there were words and then we left, to go to the zoo.

Here is a video of me breaking Mommy and Daddy's wireless keyboard and mouse. I don't know what I could have possibly done, but after all the clicks and bangs were over, the aftermath... mouse: messed up. keyboard: no better. Soon, both keel over and bite the dust. All from just my banging.

Storybook Time

Captain's Log: Stardate 75923.7

This week I went to storybook time at the library with Ta-Da and Gamma. They read us a book about duckies, and even had a water basin with rubber duckies in it! Afterward, we got to play with new toys in the reading area. There was a boy there about my age and we played together. I hope to go back soon. Thanks Ta-Da and Gamma!

Glow sticks

Captain's Blog: Stardate 76552.3

On August 28th, Mommy and I went to the DuPage Children's Museum in downtown Naperville. I LOVED it! There were lots of things for little hands to play with and little legs to jump around on. My favorite was definately the glow sticks. I stayed at that for nearly an hour! I tried to smuggle some out, but Mommy said they wouldn't glow away from the special lights. That's no fun!

Everything blue, pretty shoes, and a molar.

Captain's Blog: Stardate 73983.6
Daddy took me to the park again on Wednesday. I love the park. I find an awesome blue slide that I could scoot down on my butt all by myself.

Did you notice my super cool new shoes? They're Sketchers. Real Sketchers like Mommy's and Grandma's. They are white and black with bits of pink and metallic silver on them, and velcro on the side so that that the closure all but disappears! Yeah. Super cool.

Daddy took me on an adventure to JC Penney's to buy them. I walked into the mall with Daddy holding my hand and we went to the shoe department where the sales ladies fawned over me and said how cute I was. I stood up and held up each of my feet one by one so that Daddy could put the shoes on me. Then I stood up and walked around a bit to try them out and model in them. I'm a lucky girl.

You can't tell from this picture, but I'm also wearing a new skirt. Its light blue and has Ariel from The Little Mermaid on it. She's on a plastic piece on the front of the skirt that lights up! It has little red flashly lights on it. I like to put the plastic part in the my mouth and chomp on it.

I'm getting a new molar! Is that how you spell that? Yep, my back right molar is coming in. Sometimes it hurts and I raise my shoulder to rest my jaw against it. Mommy puts Orajel on my gums and for once I don't fight her.

In Loving Memory of my GREAT Uncle John

In Loving Memory of my GREAT Uncle John (John Paul Bernat, Jr.)
January 16, 1952 - June 30, 2008

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun.
Of happy memories that I leave behind when life is done.

We couldn't have said it any better...
We miss you and love you Uncle John. And wish you well.

I have been away for awhile and am glad to be back banging on the keyboard! Mommy broke the computer. Then she fixed it. Then she broke it. Then she fixed it and then went away for a week! Now its fixed and I can finally get back to my blog. What's a captain to do without her blog? How will she chronicle her adventures? Oh snap!

Here is a strikingly cute video of me trapesing around in Mommy's wedge heels...

I'm so cute

Pop's-icle

This weekend I stole my Daddy's popsicle! It was Tropical Pineapple flavored! I got to hold it all by myself as Mom freaked out and held her hands below in case I dropped it. Yummm....

My day at the park

Daddy took me to the park this morning. We had the whole place to ourselves. I found a pirate ship that got marooned on a beach of mulch. No hands aboard! They all must have abandoned ship. Very bad form! Isn't my cute little purple dress adorable? It has grapes on it and little ties in the back. The steps gave me a little bit of a problem, but I kept at it. Go up a step.. turn around and go back down it. Its the only way I'm every going to learn to take them at running speed! I like to come up with new ways to freak out Mommy and Daddy. Like when I stand on the seat of my ATV with no hands. Or when I sit on it backwards and try to hit the "go" button with my back. Yeah.. that freaks em' out. I laugh.

Delhi Sandwich

My Aunt Vicki left yesterday to go to India for almost 4 months! I guess she's going to New Delhi to get a sandwich or something. I told her there's plenty of good Delhi's here, but she didn't believe me. I bought some headphones and a webcam so that we can chat when ever she needs a Kathryn-fix. Aunt Vicki, bring me back a pickle from the Delhi!

A Smooth Criminal

I have uploaded my latest music video. It is Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal. I taught that man every move he knows. Video produced by Timbaland.

My birthday party! 6.14.08

Here is a picture from my birthday party, Saturday June 14, 2008. Lots of people came and brought lots of presents that I was just too busy to open. It started at 3pm and all the guests huddled inside the house because it was so hot and sunny! Then the legal occupancy rate was exceeded and people started to head outside. I got to eat TWO sticky, ooie-gooie cupcakes all by myself! It was awesome! I had frosting in my hair, across my eyebrow, in between my fingers. I was planning to run back through the house and touch every thing I could get my hands on, but Mommy was too clever and wiped me off right away. Thank you to everyone who attended my wonderful party!
